tears

the tears flowed
entrapped in a small room
with nowhere to run
he stood up and he looked around
but all he knew was
clear walls existed between him and the outside world
he looked and saw faces
of those he could recongize
those he used to laugh with
those he used to cry with
turning around he walked to the other end of his cell
he saw once again people he once knew
laughing and enjoying themselves
it made him feel even worse
he gave way and broke down
he cried
and he cried
when he realised
that he himself erected those walls

from his eyes

hey. he looks familar.
Hmm.. maybe i should get a closer look.
oh i can't seem to remember who he is...
but i know i've seen him somewhere.

the hair of his. that messy hair of his.
and that glasses. the colour looks like..
i can't seem to remember but i really know i've seen it somewhere.
he looks really tired though.

he used to look really well and healthy if i've not remembered wrongly.
his face looks like he's been through many nights.
slogging his guts out?
the eye bags are showing and he looked really fragile

i know he is a happy person!
yes the memory is coming back.
oh but why is he crying now?
he is bending now and weeping a river of tears..

he looks.. sad
he looks.. hurt
should i ask him wat's wrong ?

Hey Hey. wats wrong with you??
why are you crying ?
are you ok?

he just stares back at me
maybe i should just reach out ...
and touch the mirror

Gilthas

found this when searching through my documents for my pw stuff. wrote it for fun in sec 2. my standard of english is really bad back then. and it still is now. Lol never did finish it. maybe i might ? maybe maybe. But after schoolwork.

Dawn was approaching. The sun slowly made its way up. In a small house by the sea, Gilthas lived with his grandfather, the oldest and wisest man in the coastal village of Tharp. Gilthas' father had gone to war and had not returned since three years.
“Yes grandpa, I will remember all you told me. Not to tell people that I know magic. Yes, I will always remember and rest assured, I would go as a mercenary," promised Gilthas as he left the house. "Wait, take this along, it will help you, battle magic would help, but I am sure your mother's ancestry of wild magic would enable you to sufficiently harness the potential of these ancient crafts, take this along as well and wear it," he told Gilthas as he handed him a white dagger with several runes engraved, a unicorn horn, a whip made of unicorn hair, a blade and finally an acorn amulet.
He wanted to be a battle warrior. Born from a father with warrior genes, Gilthas proved to be strong and physically-inclined and with a mother from the wild folks of Tree Lars, he was born with the abilities of seeing things better and easier in the dark Gilthas taking these items thanked his grandpa and continued walking. He had to look for his father in the city of Nova where his father had enlisted, good and accurate with a whip and a bow and with the great potential of learning the arts of magic. From young , his father had inculcate in him battle skills and some simple battle magic like casting fire to create campfires and from his mother , he had learnt how to cast sleep spells and how to create illusions . However, the idea of practicing the art of magic was never well-received by the normal people for many had feared and disliked magic after The Second Great War where the evil dark elf lord almost cast a spell that could have devastated many cities of human had the great paladin of Zoar not dispelled it in time . Though weaken, the paladin was able to contain the dark lord in one of the deepest dungeon in a magic-bound cell where the energy from the spell bounding the evil elf was energized from the dark elf’s growing magic energy. Which meant that it constantly kept the dark evil there as the magic required for the dark elf was constantly drained to fuel the guardian spell of the captive.

Switching the Tv off, he walked towards his laptop. His life had really been in a mess lately. Though he was in good financial status, there was always something missing in his life. The family he knew was gone, after last year when he won his court case over the family fortune making his brother a bankrupt. The wife he knew was gone, bringing his daughter along. The friends he had, ever since he supposed the company merger, they never did spoke to him.

Life had been... empty. He had a decent retirement income, around a quarter million a year from interest and he knew that money was never a matter. Yet the feeling of emptiness could not be filled, and he allowed his mind to drift for a while. How he wished he had all the things he used to.. and as his thoughts wandered *DreamStar* .

With swift strokes, he keyed the web address into his laptop. Looking through the website, he came to learn more about the dreamstar. The dreamstar was made up of this dome shaped metal building with 5 glass containers the side of a human. He shuddered as it reminded him as coffins and yet the "coffins" had intricate designs and cravings making it look elegant and underneath the containers run optic wires in glass rods. The head cushion was made of soft leather and there was temperature control there. Clicking on the price list, he was shocked to realise that the owner was selling the whole building at a relatively low price.

Picking up his cellphone, he called the owner and arranged a meeting. Apparently the owner was facing cashflow problems and other "personal" problems with the machine. After briefly showing him around the building, they agreed on a price much higher than stated and he paid for it without a single whelm. Handing the keys and rod needed to activate the machine, the owner left him to the machine. Calling his employer to use all his available and accumulated holiday leaves, he turned around and observed the interior of the dome.

There was indeed something attractive about this whole building. The dome shape of the building had high ceilings and arch towards the top. It gave him a sense of awe and cravings were all over the buildings. It gave the building a sense of openness and beauty in it. Turning the rod in the activation panel, he stepped back in awe as the energy beamed through the cravings lighting up the whole building. The walls seemed to glow with an eerie blue and yet the beauty of it was astonishing as the patterns in the cravings were highlighted by the blue glow. Facing the glass containers, he noticed that there was a machine in the middle of it. The machine is supposed to read his mind and he walked towards it. Placing his forehead between two large metallic readers, he pressed the process button and waited.

A tingle and suddenly pain. Jerking his head back up, he starred in wide eye horror as the machine suddenly displayed images of his wife, then his daughter and other people that he used to talk to and confide in. People that enjoyed his companion and trust. Shaking his head, he walked towards the glass container. Opening the side, he moved himself in and seal the container. A cool gas was released and a helm-shaped cover was placed carefully over his head. The sleeping gas worked into his body and he immediately fell asleep.

He arose to find the sound of laughers. The sound was so familiar and there was a chuckle behind him. Turning around he say his 5yr old daughter staring at him. She raised up her arms and asked him to carry her. Staring at her, he moved towards her with a mixed expectation. Part of him knew that this was all a stimulation but the rest of the body told him that it was real. Carrying her, he could feel the warmth of her and he was convinced to think that she was real. He could hear her tiny heart beating and he carried her towards where he knew he would find his wife. The living room was littered with toys and there she was.

She had not change a bit. The sweet smile and bewitching beauty of hers. Femme fatale. Many a man would die just to find favour with her. She was laying down on the sofa flipping through the magazine. Indeed she looked more charming and beautiful then he ever remembered. Walking towards her, she smiled and spoke to him. Her sweet voice mingled with gentleness was simply too much for him and he smiled to himself. She told him that his brother and his friends would be coming over soon and for dinner and saying that, the doorbell rang.

Setting his daughter down, he walked towards the door and opened it. And surprise.
His brother was there together with his friends and all of them were happy to see him.
His brother upon seeing him, hugged him and showed him his new girlfriend. His brother had wanted to share his joy to him by introducing the girl he found and his friends as if in sync turnt up with their wives as well.
Then, being polite, he invited everyone in for the family dinner. Food was brought out by their servant and everyone wine and dine that night. Each one of them had a fun time as they exchanged warming stories over the table and shared jokes. It was really a time where he felt more alive then ever. All of his friends and family were here and the best thing was, they planned to come here everyday for dinner.

Indeed this was something he desired dearly. A close network of friends he could trust upon and relate to and also a prefect family. With that, he went to bed feeling like the happiest man ever.

The next morning, he awoke to his new life and he went forth to his workplace only to discover he was his own boss. Everyone that you used to work under were now his subordinates and had to listen to him. Checking the annual reports, he was glad to know that his company was among the top few gainers and profiters in the market. He was one of the highest acclaimed entrepreneur of his times and he was featured in many famous magazines. He was now a popular business celebrity and everyone business in the major league knew him. And along with that, he had honoury privelleges that allowed him to do things like being the first in line for everything. With that he indulged in his work and enjoyed a wonderful lifestyle along with his loved ones.

Each day, he would bring his wife and daughter to a posh restaurant serving different gourmets. He was always at different places in different times, touring the world. Chocolate eating in Belgium, to wine tasting in France, then some local delights in China before flying to Thailand for his weekly massage. Purchasing a plane and a yacth also allowed him to cruise along the mediterrian seas and to take time off for so gathering. Life is so much more relaxed and he enjoyed every moment of it. Life had never been better with all these and the best part of it was doing it together with the people he loved. His wife, his daughter, his brother and his friends. They went along with him and they had much merrymaking. Such was a life that he hated to turn in and wished to wake up early in the morning to enjoy the day... He lived each day happily...

However, time doesn't stop when he entered the Dreamstar . Time by itself could not be confined in a stimulation. 3 months had past and his boss, wondering why he had not attended work for more than 2 weeks decided to look for him in his apartment. With the help of the police, they discovered that he was still in the machine. Fearing the worse, they opened it, only to find a corpse that had died due to starvation. Or rather due to this ersatz reality.

Death Wish

This is an interesting one.Not really in a mood to describe through.and i never take biology. lol

From his wheelchair, he looked up at the clock. It was already 4 and the procedures had been briefed to him. The laboratory equiments hummed and scientist were seen walking around making last minute adjustments. Suddenly the machine made a loud noise and everybody stopped in their paths. The portal door opened and a guy was being dragged out of it by two tall men clad in black.
Everyone applauded and he grinned. He had looked much stronger and healthier back then. But now he is left with a hollow case which enclosed upon his soul. This body of his, decaying and losing the fight and he knew his time would be soon. The doctor approached him and gave him 12 vials and instructed that he was to keep them with him at all times. These vials contained raw biological energy broken down so that it can be consumed by a human like a drink. The media calls it the elixer of immortality as a person can lengthen his life by taking it.However, the scientist knew that these vials could not prevent his death for he would lose his conciousness even if he took it excessively. He would be nothing but a vegetable or at worst, a zombie. Yet, these will do, for 12 days is all he need and he knew that even if he wanted more, the process of making it is lengthy and expensive. so 12 will do.
The all ready sign was given and everyone was waiting for his approval.
He stood up and gave his thumbs up and everyone bid him farewell.
With that he walked into the portal and was gone....

He woke up at a hotel and found his luggage all ready on the floor. Leaving the bed, he moved towards the toilet and used the mirror to check his hologram. It was prefect and he looked exactly like his younger self yet he was still old and moved slowly. Remembering the vials, he carefully took one out and drank one. The contents left a bitter aftertatse and the contents seemed to heat up as it made it's way to the stomach. The heat extended to his whole body and he suddenly felt recharged.
Checking the time, he knew he was going to be late for the dinner. Checking out of the hotel, he went towards the carpark and found his car. Sitting into his car, he said his address but nothing happened. Then remembering that he had gone back 37yrs in time, the cars did not have such voice activation yet. Driving manually, he cruised through the busy streets and reached his house. It was easy to spot as he remembered it clearly.
The old house next to the public pool, his first house that he bought after he landed his new job at the research center. His wife, so young and beautiful was waiting for him at the front door. Stopping the car, he saw his son and daughter running towards him. The both of them are so young, teenagers that didn't care much about other stuffs but pop fashion and school.
Reaching the stairs, he hugged his wife and carried her into the house. The house though old had brought warmth to his heart. It was such a familar sight after all and he knew that he had truly been back home. It was his wish come true, to be able to revisit all these before his death.

He knew that despite all the inital europhia he had when he discovered and concocted these life extending subtances, there was a drawback to it. Everyone's biological structure though similar had crucial differences. Differences in blood pressure for example would distort the distribution of the energy and thus he had to spend some time to modify it to suit others.
He had initially found one that matched his but he was racing against time as one by one, his family members succumbed to death. Tried as he might, he could not fufill it and when his daughter, being the only one left apart from him, died in the hopsital, he broke down. He sold all his possessions and he created and funded the most expensive dream of his life. A time portal. He resolved to see his family once again before he passed away.

The 12 days passed quickly and he was down to his last vial. This very day, he would cease to be. Knowing that, he did what he wanted to do all along. He walked up to the dining table that night and looking at them, said" I love you all." With that he broke out in tears. His wife walked up to him, hugged him saying that she does too and then turning to the children, she sent them up to bed.

Hours passed and after explaining to her, he left that night. He drove as far as he could and then he died.

transcend

Note* this is my first shot at it.

The table was set.
Food was prepared with many of his favorites. The chicken was still in the oven but she gauged that it would be ready by the time he was here. The cutlery was laid and the place was prepared. Her eyes scanned the room in search for any little details she missed. All was ready, everything was in place.

The door opened and she knew he was early. He hugged her from behind. He smelt of sweat but she didn't mind. Instead she liked it. She had, after all, been waiting for him the whole day. He promised to quit his current demanding job to spend more time with her.

Turning around she looked into the dreamy eyes of his. She cherished and loved this moment. Her very wish of happiness is about to be fulfilled. This very day, she would spend the rest of her life with him

He moved closer to her and his lips trembled with joy, moving closer calling her name. He loved her, he said and she was filled with waves of euphoria. He moved even closer to kiss her and she gave in. Whispering sweet nothings, he told her how much he loved her when he was away. She smiled and he went on to profess his love for her. He missed her and would miss her even more and hearing that she strongly pushed him away.

" Don't go then." She broke out. She was not ready for him to leave even though he tried to explain that it was his duties. An argument soon broke out. She insisted that he should not response to the call, why fight for the politicians? But he did not listen, he had to answer his call of duty. It was the right thing to do he said. No amount of persuasion could stop him, no amount of tears.

He left that night. The food laid mostly untouched, the cutlery hardly used.

Melancholy.

She sat on the floor crying. The only thing she could do.

Somewhere, somebody was playing a sad piano piece. It reflected her feelings and she found herself consumed in her own emotions. She was all alone not only physically. The joy had faded, leaving a melancholic mood around her. The night was beautiful but she was alone to enjoy it. The duality of the night, like the duality of their relationship. So sweet and beautiful but also so dark and cold.

Thoughts of suicide came to her mind, and she entertained them. One by one her fears came true and no amount of struggle and help could stop them. She had just lost her motivation, her purpose in life. Her love.

She was tormented that night.

He was in the battle and gunfire rung in her ears. The whole battlefield laid strewn with bodies and she did not know where she was heading. Wandering aimlessly, she screamed as she caught sight of him. Why this cruel joke? Why must it happen?
He laid there gasping for air and blood stains were noticed on the corner of his mouth. His face was filled with immense sorrow mixed with a tinge of joy upon seeing her. With the little strength left, he raised his arms towards her...

The police arrived the next morning amidst all the chaos. A call was made after the neighbours heard loud chilling scream punctuated with cries. The city had enough troubles on it's own. Among the influx of evacuating refugees, many turned more than once to peek into this house. The case was labelled death by unnatural causes as she laid upon the floor in a weird fixated position with her arms arched above her, They seemed to hug an unseen figure and tearstains were noticed on her face where her eyes stared ahead with deadly intensity.

The remnants of transcending emotions, evident of the transcending love that defied boundaries. She probably now exists on a plane where nothing bounds her.
